This Year's Highlights

  • OL-1, as published, in murine models of AD, has been shown to: 1)enter the brain and restore learning and memory; 2)reduce the oxidative damage done to proteins in the brain, thereby reversing another category of damage done by AD
  • Neuroscience 2005: The beta-amyloid protein associated with Alzheimer?s Disease appears also to provide cognitive enhancing functions in normal animals. Hence, another potential product, and a rational for down modulation of amyloid vs. total blockade.

Anticipated Highlights

  • Submission of IND to FDA in 2007, and initiation of clinical development.

Corporate Mission

Edunn Biotechnology, Inc. is incorporated as a Delaware ?C? corporation operating in St. Louis, MO. The Company is a development stage company approaching its first round of financing. The Company was founded in 2005 by Dr. Thomas Darling, an experienced biotechnology development executive, and Dr. John Morley, Dammert Professor of Gerontology at St. Louis University (SLU). The Company is developing a novel Alzheimer?s disease drug that penetrates the blood brain barrier and targets mRNA for amyloid protein. The Company?s highly selective and patented oligonucleotide was discovered by leading researchers at St. Louis University and shows promise in multiple pre-clinical models. The Company will go public with an IPO, year 5 after funding, that will follow from achievement of the goals: to develop for treatment of Alzheimer?s disease (AD) the patented drug, OL-1; and to exploit, by partnership with a large pharmaceutical company, the technology that enabled invention of OL-1.
