This Year's Highlights

• 2001-2003-Awarded Phase I SBIR grant for the Alzheimer's product. Edward J. McGuire appointed President ? 30 years experience at Parke-Davis and Pfizer; participated in more than 100 filings with FDA.
• 2004-Awarded Phase I SBIR grant for the schizophrenia product. Awarded Phase II SBIR grant for the Alzheimer's product. Debasis Ghosh, inventor and 10 years experience in the biotech industry, appointed as VP of product development.
• 2005-New product development lab comes on-line. Begin collaboration with SRI International, through the National Institute on Aging, for testing of the Alzheimer's product in animals.

Anticipated Highlights

• Securing of a $2 million equity investment.
• Completion of the pre-clinical testing for the Alzheimer's product and filing of the IND application.
• Funding of a Phase II SBIR grant for the schizophrenia product.

Corporate Mission

Cognitive Pharmaceuticals develops new drug treatments for neurological and psychiatric disorders, including Alzheimer?s disease and schizophrenia. Cognitive provides pre-clinical and initial clinical development of new therapies as they emerge from discovery at universities and other sources. The products are then licensed, sold to or co-developed with other pharmaceutical firms. Cognitive aspires to introduce new therapies that address unmet needs in large expanding markets.
